The Land of the Rising Sun.

It's been a while since we've had some good Japanese products to post about....but that will be changing very soon.
Tokyo - here we come! We'll be back with more goodies in a couple of weeks!

Ring Ring! Look out - coming through!
I have visions of Holly and I happily cruising along the bikeways this summer.
The Sunday pedestrians can be a worry though - lucky we have a bell on our bike - but not one quite this cool!

Moonbags (via babygadget) - strip, drop, pull drawstring and home to Mum.
What a great beach holiday idea! I want one!

We all know of the famous Big Red Car! Now your little one can own their own little red car, on sale at Bay Bee Cino.
(Down $90 to $49.95!)

We are flying soon, so are on the look out for any handy gadgets to fill the time in the air.
This one deserves a mention - CARES kids fly safe restraint.....serves as a familiar 5 point harness for your toddler. It attaches to the standard airline seatbelt and can handle a one year old, right up to a big, boisterous 4 year old.
Anyone used it or a similar product?

I am about to try to make my own bugaboo liner, however, if it doesn't work out, there's always pramskins to fall back on. They are very clever, made from gorgeous cotton prints and are reversible. There's even a specific "Phil & Ted's" compatible liner.
Pramskins are made by a "one Mum band", fellow Australian. I would purchase one right now, but I need to see what I can create on my own first....if it doesn't work out, I can always purchase from the site...

Completely foldable and portable these Lalpanzi beds offer a funky porta-cot solution.
They look really comfy too.........but part of me can't help thinking they look like a puppy bed?!

We heard a certain Bee isn't passing the Australian Safety Standards testing and this is the reason it has been delayed.........so, although it is currently available on the net and ebay, it may be worth waiting till later this year, when they hope to have it safely released on our shores.
Another thing to consider is the warranty - we've been told this isn't always available when the Bee (or similar) is purchased through a site such as Ebay. We've recently had our front wheel replaced through our 2 yr warrenty on the Chameleon....so are really conscious of how important it is to go through a reputable dealer, as the process was so easy......and we had the new wheel in place in a matter of days.
Just some food for thought for anyone thinking they should "jump the gun" and order it online. You've been warned!

Researched on the streets of the world’s style capitals: London, Paris, Tokyo and New York, Silvercross created a system that answers all the problems faced by modern, urban parents.
What problems, you may ask? First of all, it is clean and minimal in design, has 4-wheeled suspension and is ultra-lightweight at 7kg.
It is also said to be easy to fold and features a rear-facing newborn cot, which is clipped off and stored when the baby outgrows it. And, in a range of colours like pumpkin orange, grape and blueberry, you're sure to find a favourite!
Available from bebe for $399.00. While I prefer the Bugaboo for baby's comfort, I would keep this as a second stroller in the boot of the car....

It's only a prototype as yet, but this Weigen Stroller has the designer-stroller market sewn up. There is a bassinet feature for the newborn, rest assured, though the hammock is an interesting concept.
If/when this becomes a real-life stroller, we will let you know.

Our local Baby shop is just about to get the first shipment of Bugaboo Bee's in!! They've been delayed, so we are a bit behind the 8 ball....
It has given us plenty of time to muse over buying one though. We currently have the Chameleon, which is great, but the Bee seems smaller and easier to throw in the car.....
Has anyone out there used or seen the Bee? What did you think????
Let us know!!!!

If anyone is interested, we are selling our Jolly Jumper
and Bumbo on ebay right now. I will have to link these tomorrow, as they haven't quite uploaded to ebay yet.
EDIT: Links now up.
EDIT #2: The Bumbo has just sold. The Jolly Jumper is still available though.
Time is flying! I remember when she was too little for the Jumper!

Ingenious! This is the storage solution I have been waiting for!
The Metro Tots Stroll Away hooks over the door and holds your folded stroller out of the way, till the next outing.
My name is Katie Mackenzie. I have a gorgeous baby girl, and a husband who shares my appreciation for design. We hope to bring Holly up in a place that is full of fun, style and function. We have no room for clutter. And we are limited to products that are available to Australians. This blog summarises our efforts.
